If you want to give your family a wholesome, homemade lunch or dinner, but you find yourself exhausted with little time, this is the meal you need. It doesn’t get much quicker or easier that these gluten-free tuna burgers. You can whip up this tasty meal in 15 to 20 minutes.
If you don’t need to make them gluten-free, you can use regular bread crumbs and regular buns.
All you need is 3 (5 oz.) cans of tuna in water, 1 egg, 1 tsp. onion powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1 T. lime juice, and 1/2 c. gluten-free bread crumbs.
Mix the tuna, egg, onion powder, salt, and lime juice until everything is mixed well. Add the bread crumbs and mix with your hands until the bread crumbs are completely incorporated into the tuna mixture.
Form the tuna mixture into eight patties.
Heat 2 to 4 tablespoons of olive oil in a medium skillet. Once the oil is hot, fry the patties until they are golden-brown on each side.
Serve these on gluten-free buns with a salad or soup. You can add lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and condiments to each tuna burger.
